In the early 1800’s, wood working and stone cutting was done by hand. Today, we save the hand cut stone that served as the foundation, walls, or floors of these rural barns. The beautiful patina of this historic stone makes this product a classic choice for use in landscaping, furniture table tops, kitchen islands, outdoor bars, and tile work.
Prices vary per stone. Please contact J.L. Stader with any pricing, availability, and design questions.

This spring house, located in southern Indiana, is one of the coolest buildings we've found yet. Imagine a non-descript building sitting on the side of the road. Open the door, walk down a steep stone staircase and suddenly you're found something amazing. A natural spring house constructed out of hand cut limestone blocks with three limestone troughs that wisk away the natural spring water to feed nearby farmlands.
The limestone blocks and troughs could be used for wine cellars and tasting rooms. We could reclaim these materials and see them used in outdoor kitchens, living spaces, patio areas, and fountains. Not to mention, the stone troughs would make incredible sinks for a one of a kind bathroom or kitchen showpiece.
