A Springtime Tradition: 52nd annual Indiana Flower & Patio Show
J.L. Stader is proud to showcase our reclaimed wood products in the Vive Exterior Design’s showcase garden in the 2010 Indiana Flower and Patio Show. Vive has designed a 2,200 sq. foot garden titled, “The Call of the Wild.” In early 2010, Vive Exterior Design approached J.L. Stader Artisans to provide reclaimed building materials for their garden. Reclaimed building materials are a unique, beautiful, and green way to outfit your patio and garden. Our reclaimed products will be featured throughout the garden in the following areas:

Pergola – This unique pergola is constructed of 8” x 8” hand hewn, reclaimed barn beams from southern Indiana. Each beam will be attached with reclaimed steel gusset plates, handcrafted by J.L. Stader Artisans.
Reclaimed Stone Water Feature – The water feature is constructed using reclaimed cabin floor and foundation stones from central Ohio. The pieces were hand chiseled and cut, revealing the unique rocks embedded within the limestone. The backdrop to this stone water feature is reclaimed, rusty tin roofing from a central Indiana barn.
Reclaimed Barn Wood Patio Furniture - Our artisans hand crafted the 8’ x 4 ˝’ patio table, bench, and barn beam stools from reclaimed barn wood and hand hewn barn beams from a barn built in 1843 in Owen County, Indiana.
Landscaping Stone – Featured throughout the garden is our reclaimed, hand cut stone. These stones have been reclaimed from the foundations and floors of the barns we disassemble.
Reclaimed Barn Wood Siding Building – J.L. Stader is providing weathered, reclaimed barn wood siding for the outhouse structure in the garden.

2010 Flower and Patio Show Information:
Indiana’s most spectacular and honored finer outdoor living show opens its doors to gardening enthusiasts on March 13 for a nine-day run at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
The 52nd annual Indiana Flower & Patio Show, a Central Indiana springtime tradition, will feature 29 dazzling Showcase Gardens, more than 250 finer outdoor living experts, displays encompassing the latest and greatest in landscaping trends, and dozens of educational programs – all in over 171,000 square feet of the State Fairgrounds’ West Pavilion.
The theme of this year’s extravaganza is “A Novel Idea.” Each of the 29 Showcase Gardens is themed after a favorite book, from the classics to newer releases to a title written and published by one of this year’s landscape artists!
